This, Too, Shall Pass

Loneliness comes like a wave.  This, too, shall pass.

Nations, governments, debt, these, too, shall pass.

Panic, anxiety, rumination, these, too, shall pass.

Championships, awards, accolades, these, too, shall pass.

Jail time, conditional relationships, slavery, these, too, shall pass.

Dogs, cats and grandma, these, too, shall pass.

Gossips, abusers, the brainwashed, these, too shall pass.

Mountains, deserts, fertile plains, these, too shall pass.

Lies, white lies, propaganda, these, too, shall pass.

You, your Self, truth, these, shall not pass.

Labor Day 2025

TOO FAT TO FLAT

It's Labor Day in America, the forgotten holiday. Perhaps, we should rename it Government HandOut Day since nobody wants to work and prefer the dole. I like Wage Slave Appreciation Day.  One day for the 'workers' is all organized labor can do.  Don't look for leadership in that agency.  They think they own you and you pay for that privilege.

What we celebrate in this country is getting out of work. Or gaming the system.  There is no respect for dirty hands Labor. Such an ass-kissing, condescending bunch we are.  I worked a service truck and people would call for help, I'd go and do my best to fix their problem, and they would still bad mouth me.  Not many Bosses ever were grateful for my efforts. You just can't do enough for lazy, ignorant, self-entitled people.

What country in it's right mind would export it's slaves? As historically shown, there are always exemptions in any legislation concerning farm labor, true slaves of the system.  Alabama once tried to remove the mostly Mexican workforce and use the State Unemployment office to fill the positions.  The next cherry harvest didn't go so well.  Can you imagine an oversized Alabaman on a 10 foot picking ladder? 'Swift' wouldn't describe it correctly.

The coffee pourers are starting to organize. How exciting! The G negotiates, basically jams, a contract on the Brotherhoods on behalf of the owners of the railroad and nobody see Fascism.  Especially the people walking around calling everyone a Fascist. The corrupt UAW has been wandering in the dark for Oh! so many years.  Sheepdogs on the membership is Solidarity House's role in the Grand Game. I don't hear much else on the private sector front.  The Teamsters are always entertaining dysfunctional family drama and could shut this country down in an instant with the right people in place.  Sikhs don't join unions. The Building Trades cleave to their Masters - the G - it's the only work they got. Illegal immigrants don't join unions. I don't shed a tear for the State worker unions. Cry me a river, AFGE, AFSCME and SEIU. You just add to the overall corruption of society. Prison guard unions, selling jobs and ghost payrolling don't make much sense to me as a service.

With all my accumulated jaded cynicism concerning Labor organized or not, the 'masses' (another condescending word as is 'workers') simply will not ever understand their power in the economy.  Their self-importance is wrapped up in the 'vote'.  The Pharaoh, the Emperor and the King are all concerned about your opinion on the matter, of course. That's why they exist. And the working class dutifully construct Tomahawk missiles, collect a paycheck working on 'projects' for the next Moon landing, and beat each other over the head with nightsticks, Blackjacks and Billy clubs from the unionized police force  Where do all these automatic pistols come from?  Well, the unionized (beat your) tool and die craftsman  made them.  How does our great ally in the Mideast get their munitions delivered? Well, the old Communist longshore unions load them onto a unionized freighter.

Big picture thinking doesn't live in existing dutiful working life.

SARCASM WARNING

"The bills get paid.  The dog and the kids get their shots. Joining the Army is a good thing.  It's not happening here.  That's over there.  Nothing to worry about. Coloring outside the lines will get you attention. Put this camouflaged clothing on.  Head to the middle of the road and hunker down.  Maybe trouble will pass by.  We have done our job."... quoted from an AFL-CIO internal memo.
