Don't Volunteer, My Dear

TRT 38.00

The original raggedy anne story was about a child killed by vaccination and a warning. I know they now say this is untrue. Raggedy Ann was created in 1915 by Johnny Gruelle, whose daughter Marcella at the age of 13 after receiving a SMALLPOX vaccination became very ill. her death certificate at age 13 says heart disease killed her. So it is a lot like the covid shot. Mr. gruell applied for the patent for raggedy anne while she was still living, but very ill. She was his and wife Myrtle's only child. He originally designed the doll to comfort Marcella. Poor man.

Talk 'girl' * II

first published May 16. 2019

I don't talk 'girl'.

Rushing to get to the roller coaster for the most awesomest moment to the crashing depths of dissatisfaction, sometimes in the same sentence. Conversational-wise I'm more of a Dragon Wagon, some bumps along the way and back to the beginning is my style.

I have observed that women that use the fetishizing talk of everything being 'super', and 'amazing' and the 'best' are also the most chronic complainers. It's as if you have to go along with the ride and are fixed in your seat unable to escape the screams of dissatisfaction using 'disgusting', 'horrible', despicable', etc. It seems those that 'put on a happy face' are those that are the most disgruntled. Also, their compliments ring hollow.

I'm the kind of man that appreciates the labor that goes into something more than the finished product. I don't impress easily. Life isn't magic to me. If I run across 'amazing', man-made that is, I want to figure out how it was made or works. I won't stand dumbfounded or fall into immediate ass-kissing. Celebrity culture, Hollywood, and the music biz is completely propped up by shallow astonishment of a performer, make-up, costumes and digital software that makes one sing in tune. Gossip is the inverse, there to tear someone down. This is all human behavior, but I observe it more in the women's mindset. I can't play along with either game.

I once was in a conversation about love and relationship with a woman who made the point of saying, "She just wanted to be adored". She wasn't joking. I said, "Good luck with that." I knew her fairly well. She didn't work. She had a child. She was very self-centered. She was grossly overweight. And she talked constantly.

Talk is not conversation. I demand conversation. Information must be shared to a greater end. Talk is weaponized listening, a cross examination. Anything you say will be used against you later. I have come not to trust women on this account. They are not asking a question because they are interested. They are building a case against you. They won't forget. Don't freely give them the information, make them work for it.

Org Labor Sleeps

Workers Can Keep Their Peanuts!!!

The Eleanor Roosevelt dime - what a condescending act of class arrogance.  Throwing a buck or two to your breakfast waitress because she tells you a joke (eggs are the same everywhere) is an act of kindness and appreciation.  Eleanor didn't give a rat's ass about those street urchins she treated with her shiny stinking dime.

ap-pre-ci-ate; 1) to grasp the nature, worth, quality, or significance of 2) to value or admire highly 3) to increase the value

... and soon the government will not be taxing that 'earned' money.  So the Senate says in a 100-0 unanimous vote on the floor of Congress.  How many working class advocates, like Sen Schumer, Sen. Cotton, Sen. Turban, the Sen. Professor and Sen. MaryAnn and the rest, are in the House of Representatives?

So how did Labor on the Job flex its flabby muscle?  By whining to a mobster that will fix their problem, for a future favor, of course, collectable for eternity. DJT took the ball and ran it through the middle of the line to score a big impression to the Average Joe and Joeess in the service industry.  It's work where exceptional attitude and performance is rewarded.  If your wait staff server is young, they will have the attention span of a goldfish.  They will never get your order correct, a fate in life I have learned to live with the last five years.  I will still tip if their attitude is buoyant, or even pleasant.  So many miserable people in the service industry, I don't reward them.  Bartenders are as surly as their customers.

Let's face it, only a fool reports cash money.  That's the reason to tip, an act of working class kindness skirting the System, the Man, the IRS.  Subsidizing the International Conglomerate USA employer they are yoked to is not my motivation.  Taxing gratuities and tips for honest service never added up to much in the US Treasury.  Congress borrows money, that is what they do. Don't give the G your money in anyway, shape or form, but don't go to jail.  Give cash, if you do tip.

A unanimous vote of the floor of Congress should be noticed. The AFL CIO hasn't delivered on a single job site issue in fucking forever and Donald Trump today eats the whole cake in front of working class America.  Not a single 'union' can claim victory in this struggle of getting G out of your working life.  It's meager, it's peanuts in the Big Picture.  And it will be the last Labor stand, a Ghost Dance of sorts, as long as the Don is around. Labor seeking crumbs for sustenance, what's new?

Economics?

Two men sit at a table.  Both agree the chunk of gold in between them is worth 20 USD.  One decides, and The Other accepts 21 USD and agrees to allow One to take possession.  The gold is now worth 21 USD, a 5 percent increase of value caused by private contractual basis.

A Third man, known to both One and The Other, comes into the room and declares that the piece of gold is now worth 46 USD, a 140% increase of value just because he says so. To increase the value on a private contractual basis at the Lutheran 5% rate to recoup his original investment One has to sell that gold at 48.33 USD. If bought, One breaks even, and sets a new agreed upon precedent of value for the piece of gold.  The Third man takes a clip on all resulting sales, ballooning the value of over-priced/over-valued gold. He also represents the protection racket that runs this financial hocus-pocus.

The original intrinsic value of 20 USD was based on the expenditure of capital and labor for a gold mining enterprise to exist.  Management and maintenance salaries only exist because the pick axe and smelter did their job.  If they didn't do their job, scarcity of gold would increase the value, but value based on labor (or lack thereof). The Third man gets his clip paid in humanity and starts a war to clean the table.

The Value of Something seems to be coming like a freight train without signals.  It's 'relative', as in love, truth, beauty, honesty, accountability, decency, you name it.  Value will soon congeal, and a can of Hormel Spam will sell to the highest bidder at an exorbitant price, challenging modern art in it's value.  I can't just imagine what that 1927 Babe Ruth baseball card will be worth. My retirement fund is a digital Bitcoin.  I bought a bag a tulip bulbs yesterday.  It only cost me 10K USD.  I got a deal.

Unable to buy anything, possibly people will re-evaluate what, who and how they value.

Universal Income? It’s Already Here

...Bernie wants even higher taxes at the top to fund even more benefits for everyone else. But how much higher? Should the top 10 percent increase their revenue contribution from 72 to 100 percent? If yes, the remaining 90 percent of the country will pay no income tax and they will all make roughly the same amount. This appears to be where Bernie is going, a true socialist paradise where the wealthy pay to flatten the rest of society -- all through the graces of a benevolent state.

Such a society would compress income, destroy mobility, and entomb a rigid class structure within the tax code. Such a government would strong-arm the wealthy and control the rest through state-sponsored enticements. Such a country is unhealthy, unstable, unviable, unbalanced, unjust and un-American.

Playing Around* 8

As usual, I'm an anomaly.

I enjoy making music for making music's sake.  I sing my songs, though I'm not sure anyone listens to them.  There is no CD sales, gigging, tours, or money making in my future with my adequate skills.  I don't have that POV.  It seems money takes the fun out of making music.

An audience of grateful listeners are far and few between.  I hardly get feedback from my fellow/she-fellow musicians.  I've learned to take in cutting remarks and understand most people are rude, unable to communicate except by put-downs.  It's an energy vampire thing and inversely they are stealing my energy, so I may have 'left it all on the court', so to speak, and he/she is munching on the leftovers.  A back-handed compliment, but a compliment nonetheless.  I do get kind compliments from people, just enough to blow up my ego tire.

Constructive criticism is welcome if it's not picayune stuff (like your guitar wasn't in tune, lol).  I'm new to performing, though hardly nervous anymore.  Open mics mostly, I'm getting accustomed to being around The Performer, how annoying they can be, only balanced by their talents and fun they bring.  I've seen and heard some amazing singing and playing people bring to share.  I'm patient with the beginner and always offer positive support.  When theater surrounds the music, it's a horse of a different color. Neurotic Ego showcases; End result, Rock Star wanna-be. I'd like to think I'm there for the song and let it sell itself.

I've always been the guy at the party that pointed out the turd in the punchbowl.  I've been bringing a minority opinion into a hostile audience for a long time.  Large groups of stupid people don't scare me, dangerous as they may be.  Most people aren't even in the same room with you.  Afterwards, if I do find someone to discuss what I was singing about, they don't get it... or don't want to talk about it.  Avoidance, it's what we do.  Most seem to want familiarity and nostalgia songs by a walking/talking jukebox.  My motivations is to be heard, not so much to hit my Like button.

I'll continue to sing my songs.  It brings me joy, if no one else.

Still Healing

Men Have Double The Chance Of Dying From "Broken Heart Syndrome" That Women Do
The condition can be caused by physical stress as well as emotional stress and seems more dangerous in men.

Dr. Russell Moul

...In addition to this, the results also showed that men are two times more likely to die from broken heart syndrome than women. The reasons for this difference are not yet understood, even though the fact has been observed in previous work. One factor could relate to the triggers that cause the condition in many men. Whereas women tend to get broken heart syndrome after experiencing extreme emotional events – such as the death of a loved one or the loss of a job – men tend to be triggered by physical stress events.

The study’s lead author, Dr Mohammad Movahed, suggested to NBC News that men may find it harder to recover from sudden broken heart syndrome because they often lack sufficient social support to help them address stress.

Peter Edward Rose II

first published Monday, September 18, 2023

Put Pete Rose in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

The harassment, purging and character assassination of Pete Rose began the unraveling of interesting Major League Baseball (MLB). They play, but not hard enough and no one earns their salary. Pete did both. He played to win. He played hardball, a quality I don't see on the field anymore. Going through the motions, hit a home run or strike out. Sit down. Play your specialized position your entire career. Boring. Who has been voted All Star playing 5 different positions? Does anyone hit a triple anymore? Or bunt? Who catches a ball after it pops out of the catchers mitt in foul territory during the playoffs?

Pete Rose is not a deep puddle of water. He even admits its. What Pete is is aware. He lives by the gut feeling. I would assume he never read a book. He couldn't sit still for two minutes his whole life. His life was action. He is a human do-ing. And what the small singles hitter did was to take a little talent and work his ass off to be, arguably, the best player in MLB history. Joe DiMaggio may have an opinion on that point.

There were many interesting stories in this book. Of course, Pete didn't write this book. Rick Hill probably transcribed a recording, cleaned up the language and edited it into a very readable biography. It's obvious to me Pete is a storyteller, a real, genuine people person. His side of the drama rang true. My world view contends this is a planned demolition of a Great American Hero. Pete's qualities were hard work, diligence, determination, striving for perfection and accountability, a street cred and believablity built up over his life. Didn't smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs. I bet some opposing players hated to play against him, but I also bet he made them play above their talent to beat him. The Reds team he was managing at the time went on to win the next World Series in a 4-0 sweep while he sat in Marion prison watching. He is respected and championed by current Hall of Famers. The persecution of Pete Rose is a society demoralization psy-op. The creature clone Bruce Jenner, the same.

If you grew up in a kind of urban neighborhood 60 years ago, there were always guys one would consider Gym Rats, sports enthusiasts bar none, a description of Cincinnati's homegrown star player. Their lives were consumed with playing sports, watching sports, talking sports. Our culture was 16-inch softball, a Chicago variant of the game and I remember the players that played to win. Denny O'Brien, Jake Crotty, and the great Tim Daniher Hall of Famer, to name three. Guys not the fastest, not the strongest, but always in the right position at the right time with sure hands and decision making. The clutch hitters. The winners.

Pete, as a young Big Leaguer, joined a USO tour to Vietnam in the mid-60's along with Joe DiMaggio. It didn't sound like a picnic. It sounded like a very dangerous position they were in. I have to tip my hat to Mr. Richard Ben Cramer's excellent biography of the Yankee Clipper. "The Greatest Living Baseball Player of All-Time" is still "The Greatest Living Baseball Player of All-Time", though dead. Joe played hard ball the correct way and that is why he is beloved by baseball aficionados today. Pete Rose is a one one thousandths percentage point behind.

His experience of 5 months in Marion, IL prison for tax evasion were heartbreaking, which thankfully, the system did not succeed. Constant humiliation and psychopath guards would break any man but Pete was tough, another quality some seem to hate. I sneer at ignorant people speaking of 'country club prisons'. Oxymorons are for sarcasm. The sharks smelled blood in the water. He did not deserve this sentence, talent wasted. Upon release, he worked community service in the Cincinatti school system. His comments on that experience should be read by educators.

He befriended some members of the Marquette 10 inside and stood together. A brief summary, the Marquette 10 were highly effective Chicago Police Department officers. Their arrests of street drug dealers were possibly too good and needed to be curtailed. Framed, they were convicted and imprisoned. As of today, a muckedy-muck in the CPD is Louis Farrakhan's former bodyguard. So goes history. FREE THE MARQUETTE 10!!!

Pete liked to gamble. It was his culture since childhood going regularly to the thorobred racetrack with his father Big Pete, Mr. Zimmer and Mr.Brinkman, fathers of other big leaguers. Pete Rose never did ANYTHING to intentionally lose. It doesn't fit his personality. He wouldn't lose a game of Go Fish to his toddler granddaughter. The money wasn't the motivation though debts increased. He made big money and he bet big money. It was his hobby.

He admitted about betting on baseball. He has paid more personal costs for a bad decison than necessary. He never threw a game. Put him in.

Abort Mothers' Day

Abort Mothers' Day

Let's face it - most of them do a terrible job of raising children.  Single mothers have ruined masculinity with their sons becoming their BFF's.  Overbearing mothers create gay sons; it's not a mystery. Their daughters become materialistic self-absorbed princesses expecting men to serve them, a reflection of Her Highness' life attitude.  Oblivious outside her aura.

Women have babies, so what?  That is what they biologically are capable of doing.  The miracle of spirit into physical, a wonderous conception of new life inside their womb.  They have always known this.  Perhaps a woman decides not to birth children though healthy and capable? A personal decision and, basically none of my business.  But those that can and do kill the fetus are irresponsible. Abortion is the woman's issue totally, disregarding rape, incest, … let's have common sense. Is all sex rape? as Katha Pollitt, the feminist writer states?  I've had a fair share of sex in my time, and I can say I've never been involved in a rape.  No one has ever accused me of such nonsense except Ms. Pollitt.  There are plenty of ways to have sex and not get pregnant.  Those that use abortion as birth control taint this supposed 'holiday'. A man will protect and provide. What is she doing with a deadbeat? Funnin'?

The silent black genocide happening for decades inside these borders should be highlighted. Overall, black population in Good Ole U.S.A. is 12%. Six percent female. Reduce that to childbearing age, estimate (guess) at 3%.  And that three percent is responsible for 40% of performed abortions.   I can't imagine how they can celebrate Mothers' Day in the 'hood.  Fathers' Day must be a hoot.  Margaret Sanger is chuckling on this one up in Eugenics Heaven.

How can a woman be in the military, be a mother, and still be following orders to kill mothers and babies of the enemy? Who are these Mothers of the Year that want to sterilize their children through gender affirming care?  Women love their cell phones more than their children, it seems to me.

The majority reading this love their mothers with all their hearts, with reason.  There is a sizable group in society that despise their mothers, with reason. They bite their tongue.  I'm not writing this out of some deep-seated matriarchal psychiatric neurosis place, I loved and still do love my mothers' memory.  I wish I could take her out for breakfast today, I'm sure a lucky son and his Mom will fill our booth.

Let's quit pretending every Mother is 'special'.  Cancel Mothers' Day as long as there is abortion.

We Are Doomed

A White Sox fan in the Vatican

Anyone from Chicago can tell you, the Cubs always get the celebrities -- from Ronald Reagan to Bill Murray. At one point, Al Capone even tried to buy the team.

While it’s true that Richard Nixon grew up in California rooting for the White Sox, when the Dodgers moved in, he had to switch allegiances. Even worse, another President, the Lyin’ Hawaiian, liked to wear the current Sox hip-hop black cap, but it turns out, he may never have been to a game at what he calls “Cominskey Park” and in 2010 didn’t know the name of a single player.

Now comes the amazing news from the brother that the new Pope is a genuine White Sox fan, as are all the kindly old school priests and sisters south of I-55, on into Indiana and Michigan. That’s a huge point in his favor and it appears he frequently voted in the Republican primaries in Illinois (that state does not have specific party registrations).

Growing up in the south suburbs of Chicago in the 1960s, in a very Catholic household, he would have had a ringside seat to the great battles in the American Church. Back of the Yards was where the leftist Saul Alinksy co-opted a big chunk of the Catholic community outreach, thanks to the liberal Bishop Bernard Sheil. But this area, and to the west, is also where the conservative Augustinian priest Francis X. Lawlor had his blue-collar political base.

*********************

**********************

The Augustinians are still active around Chicago, and new Pope Leo has grown up with that order since attending their high school seminary and then their flagship university, Villanova.

Generally, Augustinians are very humble priests, often called the Friar Hermits, who quietly run schools and missions. Pope Leo XIV spent over 20 years in Peru, which is the mission target for Midwest Augustinians.

Apparently, Pope Leo XIV has no hostility to the Latin Mass, while Pope Francis hated it. His public comments also indicate he has no interest in pushing the homosexual agenda or ordaining women. These are all things conservative Catholics care about and which the Pope controls.

On things he doesn’t control -- immigration, global warming, American politics, etc. -- I expect a lot of rhetoric to warm the cockles of the international media. That’s a compromise most Catholics can readily accept.

The choice of the papal name is also intriguing. Pope Leo XIII, the last Leo, was one of the greatest Popes of all time. Liberals would like to claim this Pope for his support of workers and the right to organize. But Leo XIII despised socialism and was the force behind the Church’s modern support of free markets and Thomist natural law theory as well as the center/right Christian Democratic political movements in the 20th Century.

I'd prefer Walt 'No Neck' Williams as Pope - EWS

New Pope Leo, it should be noted, was a math major in college. He’ll need to dust off his calculator. The Vatican finances were always crooked and are now an absolute ruin. Pope Francis brought in conservative George Cardinal Pell to try to clean it up years ago. Instead, Pell’s enemies in the Vatican and Australia hit him with a frame-up that sent him to prison for a while before he was vindicated.

Pell wrote a brutal report, the Demos, detailing the myriad problems with Francis’ Vatican before he passed away in 2023.

Pope Leo will have a huge job ahead, digging out from under the mess that Francis is leaving him. I suspect in the end that Pope Leo XIV will have little time to generate new controversies. Just keeping the lights on will consume all his time.

Rome may be in even worse shape than what has become of the once solid ball club on the South Side. And for the same reasons -- bad managers, no farm system, no stars, lack of money, and an utterly clueless top leadership. The new Pope certainly has the modest personality and proven intelligence to do a better job than his predecessor. Like a lot of people, I will pray he does.

State Run Pussy

“George Orwell once wrote women are always and inevitably on the side of the state.

He wasn't being misogynistic, he was making a psychological observation. In his view, women, particularly in their role as caregivers and moral enforcers, tend to prioritize safety and compassion over risk and freedom, and that instinct, while natural, is easily weaponized by totalitarian systems.

When conformity is marketed as compassion, control is rebranded as care, the state taps into the feminine psyche to enforce ideological obedience.

Now consider this: men will do almost anything to attract a mate, so when the state captures women through propaganda, redefining tyranny as empathy and compliance as virtue, men follow, especially those who can't compete in the traditional dating market, they feminize themselves and trade strength for submission. This is what evolutionary biologists call the sneaky f - strategy.

Low status males mimicking feminine traits or moral positions in hopes of reproductive access. And while all of this unfolds, families disintegrate. Single motherhood, a top predictor of poverty and social dysfunction, becomes the norm.

Children from single parent homes are far less likely to climb the economic ladder, and who steps in as provider and protector? Not the father, the state. But here's the kicker, the state is funded disproportionately by men, so rather than supporting the women they married and raised children with directly, men subsidize the state, which in turn provides for women through social programs. Why? Because women have been propagandized to see every relationship as a power dynamic, except one with the state, which is ironically the centralization of raw power.

They've been told that to rely on a man is weakness, but to rely on a bureaucracy is empowerment. This is not progress. This is dependency with a new face. And both men and women are suffering. The childless middle aged woman and the incel are two sides of the same broken culture.

A woman without her own child often directs her maternal instinct towards abstract causes, infantilizing minorities under the guise of social justice. What we are witnessing from psychologically unwell men and women is Nietzsche's concept of resentiment. Envy dressed up as morality. The strong became evil. The weak became good.

Strength became tyranny. We now live in a pathologically soft society that sides even with those who harm it, where punishing crime feels unfair and victimhood is the highest virtue. Nietzsche called them the tarantulas, those who preach justice but act from bitterness. They don't want to uplift the weak, they want to drag down the strong. Orwell saw them too.

Most middle aged socialists, while theoretically pining for a classist society, cling like glue to their miserable fragments of social prestige. These bitter, well educated, and affluent types don't actually care about the downtrodden. They weaponize them. The real target is success, competence, independence, because those qualities expose their own inadequacies. But the answer to pathological femininity isn't pathological masculinity.

It's not swinging the pendulum too far in the other direction. The answer is balance. Masculinity and femininity are not enemies. They're symbiotic. We've simply overcorrected.

We escaped a world where masculinity once tyrannized femininity only to arrive in a world where femininity is tyrannizing masculinity. We are not oppressed by patriarchy, we are being suffocated by pathological softness, envy, and resentment. And unless we recognize this imbalance, the future will not be free. It will be emotionally manipulated, morally confused, and biologically unsustainable.”

Jung At Heart

The Darkest Book Carl Jung Ever Wrote

In 1952, at the age of seventy-six, Carl Jung wrote Answer to Job in a single burst of energy and with strong emotion. He completed it while ill, following a high fever, and upon finishing, he felt well again. The book explores the nature of God, particularly what Jung perceived as God’s dark side, a theme that preoccupied him throughout his life. In it, the theology first explored in the Red Book—the progressive incarnation of God, and the replacement of the one-sided Christian God with one that encompasses evil within it—found its clearest expression. This makes Answer to Job one of Jung’s most controversial works. Jung wrote in a letter that the book, “released an avalanche of prejudice, misunderstanding, and above all, atrocious stupidity.”

The fundamental idea in Answer to Job is that the pair of opposites is united in the image of Yahweh. God is not divided but is an antinomy—a totality of inner opposites. This paradox is the essential condition for His omniscience and omnipotence. Love and Fear, though seemingly irreconcilable, coexist at the heart of the divine.

The story of Job follows a righteous man whose faith is tested by Satan with God’s permission. Job loses his wealth, children, health, and the support of his friends, who insist he must be guilty. His cries for justice go unheard, so that Satan’s cruel wager can proceed undisturbed. God allows the innocent to suffer. Still, Job is certain that somewhere within God, justice must exist. This paradox leads him to expect, within God, a helper or an “advocate” against God.

Jung flips the traditional understanding of Christ’s work of redemption: it is not an atonement for humanity’s sin against God, but a reparation for a wrong done by God to man.

“God has a terrible double aspect: a sea of grace is met by a seething lake of fire, and the light of love glows with a fierce dark heat of which it is said, “ardet non lucet”—it burns but gives no light. That is the eternal, as distinct from the temporal, gospel: one can love God but must fear him.”

When Jung was once asked how he could live with the knowledge he had recorded in Answer to Job, he replied, “I live in my deepest hell, and from there I cannot fall any further.”
