Falling for the Biggest Hoax in History

I watched Trump give us his address the other day on CNN. He stumbled along, saying this pandemic will go away, then on to the Israeli agreement, then like a puppy dog, back again to the vaccines being ready somewhere in October. He seemed as if he was dazed. His direction and diminished force seemed to go this way and that way, without purpose or strong direction. If you are pro-mask, he is hoping you will read his article and find confirmation that those not wearing masks are fringe nutjobs, just hours away from the booby hatch. And if you are anti-mask, you will fear that if you continue down the current path, you will end up either insane or in jail, locked up as a dangerous dissident. These articles like those of Collins are meant to convince you can't win: you are not only outnumbered by mask-wearing sheep, but you are pitting yourself against the masters of the universe—who not only own the press, but also own the courts, the police, and the military. Best to shut up and get along. But again, I tell you it is all a bluff. Almost no one likes wearing masks, so you are not a minority. You can ally with the mask-wearers in a second, and when the revolution starts, you will. They will throw their masks in the gutter happily. And once they figure out this was all one more con, they will. Yes, this is moving too slow for those like you and me, and you may think the masses will never catch on, but I honestly believe they will. The lies have gotten too big to maintain, and the facade is crumbling all around us even as we speak. Way too slowly for my taste, but crumbling even so. But once the tide turns, you will be shocked at the speed it progresses. The anger of the common people will be unimaginable. No amount of drugging will be able to stop it.

Gang Violence Continues Even Under Coronavirus

There’s no social distancing for criminals.

While the authorities are cracking down on miscreants attending drive-in church services or surfing in the ocean, urban gangs are practicing social distancing by shooting their victims from passing cars.

With 4 dead and 19 wounded over the weekend, Chicago’s gangs made it clear that they weren’t staying home. Either that or they thought that shooting rival drug dealers was an essential activity.

And for them it probably is.

While local media broadcast pictures of a deserted Windy City, the shootings paralleled those of previous years. Orders to stay at home, like most laws, don’t apply to criminals.

In one single day in early April, Chicago thugs killed 6 people and shot 21. So far this year, 117 people have been killed, and 522 were wounded. By the time you read this, the numbers will be higher.

Only 86 people in Chicago, so far, have died of the coronavirus.

Chicago’s thugs can give any pandemic a run for its money. And then shoot it in the back.

Pastor Michael Pfleger, Chicago's other clerical Obama mentor, blamed, "anger, frustration, and depression." Depression takes many forms. Like the two gentlemen who were shooting at each other from two different cars. Now that’s social distancing. Or the man who shot a 5-year-old girl in the foot.

That isn’t depression. It’s evil.

Meanwhile, Cook County freed 300 inmates. Toni Preckwinkle, the president of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, has said that she wants to figure out how to get 1,000 criminals "back into the community safely". And once they’re safely there, they can safely shoot some more people.

And that comes at a time when 200 Chicago cops have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Preckwinkle, who is also the Chair of the Cook County Democratic Party, had previously attacked Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago for suggesting that releasing repeat offenders in any way causes shootings.

Since not nearly enough people and 5-year-old girls are being shot in Chicago, Preckwinkle is determined to reduce the prison population by a third. That means potentially freeing 2,000 criminals.

And the gunshots will speak for themselves.

Oakland, California, police officers arrested 32-year-old Rocky Music on Sunday for allegedly carrying out one carjacking and attempting another.

Music’s alleged crime spree came less than an hour after he was released in relation to another alleged car theft, thanks to an emergency court order forbidding so-called low-level offenders from being booked into county jails due to coronavirus fears. It took him just 37 minutes after his release to start committing crimes again, according to local authorities.

Just A Day At Work*

I worked over twenty years on many construction jobsites. I used a portable plastic shithouse every day, several times a day, sharing it with, sometimes, 100’s of men. Always disgusting, at the refineries some were neglected for months it seemed. This was through the AIDS/HIV epidemic, several Hepatitas B and C alerts, and, of course, flu season every winter. No one thought anything was unusual otherwise conditions would have changed. 

Early in one project I was given the assignment to install the emergency lights about 15 feet above the “Siamese” water connection. In every commercial building this exists on the ground floor by a parking lot or alley, very accessible. The fire engine is needed, the firemen connects the hoses to the “Siamese” connection. The blinking lights I was installing was to call to the incoming fire truck and promote efficiency delivering the water onto the fire. Hmmm, I said. 

“You mean we have water in this building?” 

“Sure, it’s the first thing installed. The Fire Department and insurance company wouldn’t allow us to work here without it. It wouldn’t be safe.” 

“We could build a place with porcelain toilets and sinks with running water to wash our hands?” 

“That isn’t in the General Contractor’s bid.” 

“With plumbers, carpenters, electricians and laborers on sight, we have to use the portable plastic shithouses through the entirety of this project?”

“Yeah. You know how it is.”

Until someone tells me otherwise, that is the condition today.

I'm currently reading a book on Hurricane Katrina and the Gulf Coast 2005.  The storm just happened, and the Coast Guard and volunteer rescue and recovery missions are being sent into New Orleans.  There isn't a mention of worry about the germ safety to the first responders.  Wading titty deep in sewer water, unknown chemicals, sludge, mud, it seems the human body is pretty resilient.  Typhoid, dysentery, cholera are all known pathogens, the people in a REAL life catastrophe acted with bravery, endurance and compassion, not worrying a scant.

The Federal Government fell flat on their faces.  Disorganized, a week or more of time to respond.  FEMA's  response was pathetic.

Now the G seems to be totally on top of the situation fighting an invisible bugaboo.

Perhaps there is a Malthusian aspect and the flu is supposed to take away our sick, elderly and weak. The flu kills thousands of unhealthy people every year.

Why would anyone think the G cares?  Have they ever told you the Truth?

Investment Advice*

Sector investing is the idea of placing your money in certain parts of the economy.  I offer these thoughts to the "Buy low, sell high" thinkers out there.

There is no point in investing in ingenuity, hard work or American Can-Do spirit. The money is to be made in investing in the stupidity of the public. They will not let you down. Buying stock in Kentucky Fried Chicken because of its tender high quality meat, tasty flavorings or crunchy batter is crazy. You are going to get a return because stupid people eat crap food. Any fast food establishment is an example, I just picked KFC. 

Now the elites have skimmed the current stock market froth off  like a bartender knife over a just poured stout. Your next pint will be a little shorter on volume and may cost a bit more. No worries, there is a lot of stupid, frightened and sinner stock to find at a good price. 

The Stupid – I’ll assume the ‘antidote’ for the virus will be manufactured by our great pals, the Israelis. Let’s call this shot the “Liberty vaccine”. Oh! How The Stupid will line up around the block, kids in tow, to be relieved of worry of ever catching the disease again. The MD on the TV with the white coat and stethoscope will assure them “it is the right thing to do”. No matter the cure will kill more people than the virus, The Stupid will be putting the virus in their body circumventing their immune systems, and future cancers and ailments won’t be ascribed to the vaccination.  Congress, conveniently, removed tort liability from the product.

I want to invest in that company creating the Liberty vaccine. 

The Frightened – While one can be stupid and frightened, this category is for the passive-aggressive, the blustering, the chauvinist and jingoist. I’m talking War Stocks. After the next phony election, it is full steam ahead war machine and my guess the target is Venezuela. Too much oil, too close, and they are in disarray politically. The media beats the war drums and the Frightened send their sons and daughters (mostly sons) to die for “freedom”, “democracy” or some such blather. Sure, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Halliburton are easy vehicles for some return, but in this case I’m looking for the big bucks. I want to invest in the company that offers the most murderous, oppressive and tyrannical product ever made, real cruel and destructive of not only property, but of human spirit as well. And while the poor people of Venezuela will be hit with “democracy bombs” from above, I’m seeking a War Stock that acts domestically, something like para-military corporation, a Blackwater perhaps, that will be running the internment camps. 

You know, the prison guards, my fellow citizens, like TSA only brutal, private and corporate.  That's gotta be good investment.

The Sinner – One the more awe-inspiring aspect of this whole CoVid charade was the closing of the casinos. You’ve got a line of chumps ready to give you all their money and you lock the doors? That’s a bad business plan. So, today and every day, they have been disinfecting and wiping down all the buttons on the slot machines making everything extra bright and shiny for the returning mooks. It will all be compromised one minute after the doors open and the resultant elephant charge of gamblers enter. I want to invest in casinos.

The same could be said of Cruise lines. As soon as the TV says, “OK, fatties, the buffet is open”, they will be in line up on the swayback gangplank eager to eat and eat and eat. The return may take a little longer than the casinos, but it will happen.  People love to cruise (and eat).

I only wish I was even more cynical as a young man. Idealism was such a waste of energy and time, the returns for that were so disappointing.
