ROME — The death toll of Catholic clergy in Italy from Chinese coronavirus has now reached at least 13, as three more priests died this week in less than 72 hours.

If you read this story, by some amazing chance, the coronavirus in Milan took out the newspaper editor (anthrax 911 redux), a chaplain (lay person, possibly) at the University, a monsignor (individuals who have rendered valuable service to the church), a parish vicar (an agent of a superior), a vice-rector of a cathedral (vice-, same root as vicar, agent of a superior), "Father Luigi Giussani, who bore the same name as the founder of the Comunione e liberazione movement", whatever that means, and deputy master of ceremonies at the cathedral, again, whatever that means. 

These were not flunkies putting wafers into believers mouths. This flu took out the Italian Catholic Mafia leadership - as it reads to my too inquisitive nature. Pure speculation on my part.

Northwestern U. Student Government Refuses to Adopt Free Speech Bill

The student government at Northwestern University rejected a bill that would have reaffirmed campus speech protections. The bill was written in response to an event on campus featuring former Attorney General Jeff Sessions that was derailed by student protesters.

Northwestern student Zach Kessel brought the resolution before the student government in the hopes it would serve as a reminder of the important role that free and open inquiry plays in higher education. However, he was surprised when student senators began criticizing the resolutions. Ultimately, the senators decided to “table” the resolution, meaning that they would not put it up for a vote.

... Breitbart News reported in November that editors of Northwestern University newspaper had apologized over their decision to cover the demonstrations against Sessions. The newspaper was mocked by the Northwestern community over its decision to apologize for reporting on the protests.

Ann Coulter: Happy Kwanzaa! The Holiday Brought to You by the FBI

Kwanzaa, celebrated exclusively by white liberals, is a fake holiday invented in 1966 by black radical/FBI stooge Ron Karenga — aka Dr. Maulana Karenga, founder of United Slaves, the violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers. Liberals have become so mesmerized by multicultural gibberish that they have forgotten the real history of Kwanzaa and Karenga’s United Slaves.

In what was ultimately a foolish gambit, during the madness of the ’60s, the FBI encouraged the most extreme black nationalist organizations in order to discredit and split the left. The more preposterous the group, the better. (It’s the same function MSNBC serves today.)

By that criterion, Karenga’s United Slaves was perfect.

Despite modern perceptions that blend all the black activists of the ’60s, the Black Panthers did not hate whites. Although some of their most high-profile leaders were drug dealers and murderers, they did not seek armed revolution.

Those were the precepts of Karenga’s United Slaves. The United Slaves were proto-fascists, walking around in dashikis, gunning down Black Panthers and adopting invented “African” names. (I will not be shooting any Black Panthers this week because I am Kwanzaa-reform, and we are not that observant.)

It’s as if David Duke invented a holiday called “Anglika,” which he based on the philosophy of “Mein Kampf” — and clueless public schoolteachers began celebrating the made-up, racist holiday.

In the category of the-gentleman-doth-protest-too-much, back in the ’70s, Karenga was quick to criticize Nigerian newspapers that claimed that certain American black radicals were CIA operatives.

Now we know the truth: The FBI fueled the bloody rivalry between the Panthers and United Slaves. In the annals of the American ’60s, Karenga was the Father Gapon, stooge of the czarist police. Whether Karenga was a willing FBI dupe, or just a dupe, remains unclear.

But the left has forgotten the FBI’s tacit encouragement of this murderous black nationalist cult founded by the father of Kwanzaa.

In one barbarous outburst, Karenga’s United Slaves shot two Black Panthers to death on the UCLA campus: Al “Bunchy” Carter and John Huggins. Karenga himself served time — a useful stepping-stone for his current position as the chair of the Africana Studies Department at California State University at Long Beach.

(Speaking of which, the cheap labor lobby certainly was right about how the GOP could easily win over “socially conservative” minorities. Look at how California has swung decisively to the right since whites became a minority there. Good luck winning California now, Democrats!)

Back to the esteemed Cal State professor: Karenga’s invented holiday is a nutty blend of schmaltzy ’60s rhetoric, black racism and Marxism. The seven principles of Kwanzaa are the very same seven principles of the Symbionese Liberation Army, another invention of The Worst Generation.

In 1974, Patty Hearst, kidnap victim-cum-SLA revolutionary, famously posed next to the banner of her alleged captors, a seven-headed cobra. Each snakehead stood for one of the SLA’s revolutionary principles: Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamaa, Nia, Kuumba and Imani. These are the exact same seven “principles” of Kwanzaa, or “Kawaida,” as Karenga calls them. (And here’s something interesting: Kawaida, Kwanzaa and Kuumba are also the only three Kardashian sisters not to have their own shows on the E! network.)

Kwanzaa praises collectivism in every possible area of life. It takes a village to raise a police snitch.

When Karenga was asked to distinguish Kawaida, the philosophy underlying Kwanzaa, from “classical Marxism,” he essentially said that, under Kawaida, we also hate whites.

While taking the “best of early Chinese and Cuban socialism” (is that the mass murder, the imprisonment of homosexuals or the forced labor?), Karenga said Kawaida practitioners believe one’s racial identity “determines life conditions, life chances and self-understanding.”

Middle-class Americans whose livelihoods have been thrown off course after being laid off by General Motors (GM) in Lordstown, Ohio, are fed up with the country’s political and business ruling class in Washington, DC.

Laid off Americans in Lordstown, in interviews with the New York Times, expressed frustration and disdain for the country’s political and business elite, the ruling class that they say has ignored them for decades as free trade deals have gutted the middle class and allowed multinational corporations to send high-paying manufacturing jobs to China and Mexico in order to boost profits and cut costs.

... Shawn Wodogaza, a recently laid off Lordstown GM worker, told the Times he voted for Trump as well but that he is lost politically; he and others feel that the plight of the middle class is lost on the country’s elected political establishments and certainly corporate executives.

“Well, now what? What the heck do we do? Do we go back to beating our heads against the wall? Or do we try something different?” Wodogaza continued.

“I don’t know where to go,” Wodogaza said in an interview with the Times.

Chicago is toast. I don't have much hope. I appeal to all my loved ones to find a small town or medium sized city in a different state and move there. Quit subsidizing their shitty schools, leave behind their chronic rampant crime and broken justice system. I left 8 years ago and only go back for family reasons. I come back commenting on how dark energy is everywhere. Being downtown at night is like being in a Batman movie. I'm creeped out by the feeling that runs through me. The anger is in the air.

Chicago as an entity has never been united in any way, possibly a Bulls championship riot. It prides itself on being a "city of neighborhoods", which is nice, but very provincial. I'm surprised some of those neighborhoods haven't built a wall around themselves. In many ways that has already been done with railroad tracks, viaducts, cemeteries, designed expressways and waterways marking demarcation. Within your 'hood', one may describe themselves being from St. Elephants' or Blessed Mother of God parish. Latin Kings, Gangster Disciples and whoever they decide should be dead. There are 50 ward organization, or 50 shakedown operations, which one may be a loyal member. If you are, your loyalty goes to your 'Chinaman' or sponsor. And don't ask questions.

Internally, Chicago has always been divided on long-standing affiliations, except being Republican, that is. You were from the Southside or the Northside. You were a Sox fan or a Cub fan. You were Irish or Polish. You were Mexican or Puerto Rican. You were black or white. Very seldom did they meet in togetherness. Stay in your neighborhood.

So the cancer of identity politics killed this city, as it is killing the country. Chicago is the perfect long term example of divide and conquer. Each ward, parish, sports team, ethnic persuasion has looked at each other with suspicion and dread. It's ingrained in the make up of the population. So much bossiness, so many victims in one spot. "Wheres mine?", the Mike Royko motto of the city, can't apply to everyone, especially when the takings are getting smaller. The bankers get the loot. Rahm Emmanuel sealed that deal. Now the vultures pick on the remains. Mayoral run off in 5 weeks.
