Chgo Headlines 2020

Continuing Compilation for 2020:
Chicago Tribune

My routine is to open the on-line Tribune, chose the first headline that has murder in Chicago proper, or two headlines if it is an especially gruesome day.  I will try to continue this practice, for as long as concurrent the newspaper can stop feeding me murder scenarios, criminality and brutality in the city limits of the great City of Chicaga.

Vegas Follies*

Vegas Follies

Today marks the first anniversary of a supposed mass shooting in Las Vegas, NV.  Some questions remain (off the top of my head).  Anyone attempt to reconcile my inquisitive mind?

1) What did the city do with 58 shot up corpses?

2) Where did 550 gunshot victims go for help?

3) What did the alledged shooter, Stephan Paddock, do exactly for a living?

4) It was stated Paddock was a professional video poker player.  Is that recorded on his taxes?

5) How could he be so accurate from 1000 yards away?

6) How did he manage to get a pallet of ammunition to the 23 floor of the Mandaly Bay?

7) There is no video surveillance in a casino hotel?

8) How come everything about Campos changes? His story, his looks?

9)  Why was 100K wired to Danley, his girlfiend, the day before?

10)  Why did Danley state on a home loan that she worked for the FBI?

Let's start there.  Anyone?

They Keep On Coming

Work Kills:

Thursday's shootings came weeks after a driver who had been accused of stealing from a Manchester, Conn., beer distributorship shot and killed eight people and then himself.

Wigging Out All Over

It Ain't Me, Babe:

A man who sprayed bullets into a fitness class filled with women, killing three and then himself, apparently kept a Web page in which he wrote about years of rejection by women and an earlier plan for violence at the gym in which he said he "chickened out."

Don't Tell Me This Society Isn't Mentally Ill:

According to IMS Health, over 164 million antidepressant prescriptions were given in 2008, totaling over $9.6 billion in U.S. sales.

Urban Renewal:

I've seen "feral" used to describe dogs, cats, even goats. But I have wondered if it couldn't also be used to describe certain houses in Detroit.
